    This research report intends to investigate the potential of pre-fabricated timber frame construction to help satisfy these improvements and provide more energy efficient housing for the future. In an attempt to evaluate public and industry opinions of timber frame, primary research has been collected in the form of two surveys. Analysis of said research had concluded that the historically poor public perceptions of pre-fabricated timber frame are beginning to change as the advantages are growingly being recognised. Likewise the construction industry are showing positive support of timber frame construction methods, and this technique looks set to grow with an increasing government demand for higher energy efficiency and ultimately zero carbon homes.
