    Abstract

70 Years ago advertising was introduced the television sets of the world. Since this time television advertising has seen the rise of many new technologies that challenge it as dominant advertising method. This study will dissect the pathway that advertising has taken since its infantile origins, to the dominant presence it arguably now posses. It will also identify newer methods of broadcasting that perhaps challenge and provide conflict with advertising via TV when considering older, established methods of advertising via television.
