    Abstract

    Arguably advertising is no longer simply a business, or a way of making money, it is a means of gaining power and a lifestyle. It has the ability to manipulate and exploit. It achieves this not through fear, but through amusement and attraction. It identifies the emotional desires of consumers and presents products as a means of fulfilling these desires.
