    Abstract

This project identified recommendations on consolidation techniques with regard to business applications comprising high recurring costs indentified in budget files. These recommendations functionally and effectively explain how it is possible to reduce costs of the identified application by using the virtualization consolidation technique. Further cost reductions were found to be achievable by improving email systems, procurement of new technologies and improved software and hardware utilization. The recommendations were then tested for basic email performance benchmarks and cost reductions by creating a POC test environment with maximum usage and attempted replication of the production environment.
