    Abstract

This project focuses on the accessibility and aspects of usability of University websites. Three UK university websites were evaluated based on their conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the user study which included questionnaires. The three sites tested were found to have accessibility problems despite all three being top ranked and well-established universities. The observations made were that university sites still have some major issues when it comes to accessible and usable web design, but with more awareness and understanding of user needs and requirements it is possible to make websites easy to use and accessible to everyone.
