    Abstract

This report looks into the management of the production process for the creation of a client video for Hampshire Wildlife Trust based on youth conservation. The report looks into the processes undertaken to realistically scope the responsibilities of production management with reference to academic research on professional project management. The pre-production section will address planning, insurance, paperwork, risk assessment, communication with the client and the importance of having a progress report. The production section will cover the practical elements of filming footage. It will detail how it was filmed and problematic situations that occurred. The post-production section will look at how the video footage has been reviewed and organised using the Avid editing suite. The final section of the report will include a reflective evaluation. How the production management role was undertaken pre-production, during production and post-production will be reflected upon. The overall positives and negatives will be summarised.
