    Abstract

    This study is an investigation into whether the potential relocation of London Wasps Rugby Club would have an effect on fan base.

    Professional Rugby is a huge element of popular culture throughout the UK and the world. The study explores the effect. A review of current literature revealed that relocation can have both positive and negative effects on fan base.

    Literature on sport and space is examined to identify issues that are relevant to this research project.The analysis of secondary data also reflected on previous relocation in the UK such as the case study in the project.

    Despite the WSDL producing a strong development plan for LWRC to stay in Wycombe. There proposal is still yet to be approved, leaving the future of LWRC in doubt. Potential site have been covered to see where is next for LWRC if the community stadium falls through.
