    Abstract

This dissertation investigates the considerations made for the design of new homes in England’s housing developments. There is a particular emphasis on the views towards the use of contemporary architecture and whether or not it is a design solution that people want. The role of the three key stakeholders involved in the housebuilding process is also evaluated and recommendations are made on how the process may be improved to deliver a design solution that satisfies each.
