    Abstract

The integration experiences of 4 women refugees from different countries of origin were explored. The factors that affect integration, such as community networks, housing, employment, English, education and future aspiration, were discussed and analysed. The results of the research illustrated the diversity of experiences of the participants as well as shared experiences resulting from their ‘refugee’ status. While it is clear that integration can be challenging for refugees, there is also indication that the participants are moving towards greater integration.
