    Abstract

This study set out with the aim of investigation the link between Health, Deprivation, Social Capital and Rurality. All of the above have been linked closely with health outcomes at some point or other at differing spatial levels. This study will use multiple regression to calculate how much these indicators are responsible for variation in health outcomes. The spatial area this study is carried out at is 1991 ward level, as the data used is from the 1991 census and other sources. This study has found out that there is both a spatial relationship between indicators but that the variables also have relationships with each other.
