    Abstract

This dissertation establishes that the failure of the Allied forces led to the German victory at Sedan. The study questions whether the use of blitzkrieg played a major role at Sedan or if the failure of the allies gifted a German victory. Research was carried out by analysing key historical writings and quotes from theorists and generals. The implications of this research are that the failure of the Allies at Sedan led to the German victory.
