    Abstract

Building Information Modelling is heralded by the UK government as being crucial to cutting costs, improving industry relationships, and minimising waste. The new collaborative method of working will be a significant change to a currently adversarial and closed construction industry. As such, the various professions in the industry will see significant changes to their working practices, and this includes that of the quantity surveyor.
