    Abstract

In recent years there has been a growth within the student population becoming vegetarians. This increase has given the author an opportunity to create an artefact that caters for vegetarian students. A web application has been developed in order to narrow the gap within the market for students. The application enables students to upload and share their own recipes bearing in mind that the recipe can only have a time limit of thirty five minutes or less.
This application will allow the user to search for recipes by specifying parameters such as categories, cuisines and ingredients. It offers potential users functionalities such as: rate recipes, comment on recipes and add recipes to favourites. This project rationalises the application and shows how it can be a beneficial tool for the target audience.
