    Abstract

The video games industry has developed massively developed over the past 20 years and due to this there have been vast improvements in the way the games look.
By using modern games industry techniques and development software I will recreate a retro game environment to demonstrate how far the visual aesthetics of games have come by comparing the retro level against the modern version. This will look specifically at visual aesthetics.
