    Abstract

This project explores the most effective methods used for creating a radio station marketing strategy in order to capture the targeted audience. The way in which this project will deliver this exploration is through the use of both primary and secondary acquired research. It studies literature on marketing methods used within the radio industry and determines whether they are proving effective.
The primary research was collected from industry professionals working within the field of radio, predominately from Global Radio who were willing to share knowledge on how they effectively market their station to target particular listeners. Questionnaires have accumulated information from Global Radio listeners to establish whether the marketing techniques used from the industry professionals are proving to be successful.
The outcome of this project has determined the most effective marketing strategies used to capture targeted audiences within the radio industry.
