    Abstract

The tithe apportionment, which will provide the main source of data, provides a large amount of useful information. Combining this with other equally important data sources will allow for the investigation into the affects that major features such as the Oxford canal, major roads and Banbury town centre has on the distribution of the tithe rent-charge. Using a number of software packages will allow for the manipulation and interrogation of this and other data contained within the tithe apportionment to answer the questions that will be identified. The principle conclusion that has been found in this investigation is that the tithe rent-charge increases with distance from all major features within Banbury and Wickham in this study.
