    Abstract

Subsequent to riots in UK northern cities, claims of self segregation and polarised communities are examined with data unique to Bradford. Studies into polarisation into Asian and other segregated residential areas in Bradford is claimed a legend that has gained powerful acceptance in the past year. The legend is not proven to be completely true but there are large concentrations of specific ethnicities surrounding the city centre. This report synthesises the findings from a range of primary, social and census data research, primarily between 1991 and 2005, on the district of Bradford.
