    Abstract

    In civil engineering and construction industry in general, concrete is nowadays among the most common materials used for building. Long time ago, our ancestors were using materials such as stones and hydrated limes. However, the first utilization of concrete dates back to the ancient Egypt. Through experience and scientific research, concrete science has been dramatically improved though ages and especially the last decades. Indeed, mankind advancement has offered the opportunity to push significantly the limits of building materials.
