    Abstract

    At 10 years, the age of criminal responsibility in England & Wales is the lowest in Europe, prompting calls for formal review. This dissertation explored the age of criminal responsibility in England & Wales and Europe, with a view to identifying if there is an appropriate age, according to psychological theory, for criminal responsibility.
