    Abstract

    This project will be looking into whether scheduled television still has a place within the industry now that on demand television is growing at such a rapid rate. With technology enabling the audience to alter and enhance their viewing experience, is there still a need for live television programmes? This project will be looking into why on demand has become so popular and whether people are still interested in viewing programmes at their scheduled time. The impact in which the Internet and the consumer have had on the topic will be researched. Understanding where the drive for this change is coming from and trying to understand where it might take us in the future. With a number of external sources being included in this piece, the discussion of the future of television will be delved into in great detail.
