    Abstract

This dissertation reviews the current competence and reliability of the Military Justice System within the UK Armed Forces. Government reviews, independent reports, police evidence and media reports from the Deepcut deaths 1995-2002 are used to highlight alarming issues within the processes of the Royal Military Police. Opportunities to improve were uncovered and, although in some areas further research is needed, suggestions are made on how to improve the processes used within the Royal Military Police.
