    Abstract

    The Indian construction industry has set up its targets to reduce carbon emissions by up to 80% by 2020. The Residential sector accounts for 12% of carbon emissions. The research aimed at determining whether sustainable construction practices in UK could be adapted in India, considering the fact that the new ways and system operated in UK. Basically this entire project was a comparison done with the UK construction system and the potential adaption in India. This research aims to review what has been so far covered in UK construction Industry compare to Indian Construction Industry. It will be an introspective scrutiny of whether or not the tasks has been accomplished or achieved with this dissertation. If so then what has been discovered and if not then a clear description is required identifying where it went wrong. It will also look towards the set of objectives and the analysis to present the overall summary of the findings with the objectives in perspective. Then also there will be conclusions, which will be key findings that were made in the view of the research objectives. Recommendations for future research will follow in this research. Finally, areas of future research or improvement or enquiry will be highlighted.
