    Abstract

This dissertation aims to look at how contemporary social anxieties are reflected on to vampire narratives. Engaging in particular with how this affects the portrayal of male sexuality and whether this has a knock on effect with the cultural popularity and interests from fans. I achieved this by extensively researching academic sources and conducting textual analysis on specific films relevant to this research.
