    Abstract

This essay is designed to explore the identity of the princess character through the example of real life and Walt Disney creations and what these convey to young girls. I chose to examine the topic as I was intrigued by the idea that every girl grows up wanting to be a princess due to the influences of the Walt Disney characters and real life princesses. The idea that children’s formation of ideas about the world are down to the examples both princesses set upon them.
